Getting married tomorrow & I am sick as a dog!!!

Now before anyone tries to tell me it's stress related, I know for a fact it isn't.

I was sitting next to my aunt who was sick on Sunday at my neice's christening. I started to get sick on Wednesday. Now it's so bad my eyes can;t stop tearing, I am stuffed up, my throat is cracked, I can't stop coughing and my voice is going.

If this isn't bad enough, my FH caught it from me now, so he's sick too!!!

How the hell do I tell 75 of our guests tomorrow to stay away from us because we don't want to get them sick??!!

If it is a cold - I highly recommend Alka Seltzer - works wonders!

I have been taking Airborne since Wednesday, and it's done NOTHING.

lots of fluids, rest, alka seltzer cold is supposed to be good, call your dr and see what they recommend! good luck! ~lacey
eta benadryl might help dry you up, but it will knock you out, but it might help a lot today.

Janna, here is my personal remedy for any sinus issue - it ALWAYS works.

ANYTHING with Bergamot oil + steam.

Drink Early Grey tea - it has Bergamot oil.
Shower with Bergamot body wash (they sell it at The Body Shop).

I swear I was sick as a dog two Christmases ago, and a friend told me about this. I was better the next morning.

Steam alone Can and Will help, so take a long hot shower. Also Chicken Soup. I swear it works. Oh, and if you can't get to the mall for the body wash, the grocery store sells these tabs that you put in the shower with you that help clear you up.

Oh and stay away from dairy products between now and then. Dairy creates mucus.

maybe you have allergies? if you tried airborne and it didnt work what about thefaflu?

Yeah, rest as much as you can today. The adrenaline will help you tomorrow. You have to believe that you will feel better tomorrow. Today's your worst day, you'll be better.

Go to your Dr., the emergency room or a walk in med station. They should be able to give you an antibiotic that will knock it out fast. I'm not a Dr., but a Z-pack (type of antibiotic) works really well. Edited to say: I took a Z-pack when I got sick right before I was going on vacation and it really worked.

Try Zycam, any drug store.

Also get to a doctor, if it is an infection you need an antibiotic! Try everything!

Janna, I got sick right before my wedding too. You know what helped me??? SLEEP! Try to get some REST, girl!

You should definitely go to docotor or allergist. I'm about to graduate from med school in 3 weeks and i know for a fact there are a lot of little medical tricks to treat your symptoms temporarily. For example anticholinergic nasal sprays that will get rid of your runny nose.

YEP I got really sick the week before our wedding-bad case of bronchitis, On thursday afternoon (wedding was Sat) I went to the Dr and started a Z-Pack---was fine by the wedding...I realize you don't have as much time but it will help and then you'll be able to feeel better on your HM!

Janna, I'm so sorry to hear that you and your FH aren't feeling very well. I wish you a fast and speedy recovery! My advice is to get a lot of rest! I woke up about a month ago feeling really sick. I sleep the whole day and felt a lot better the next. Besides tomorrow is such a energy consuming day your going to need to be 100 percent energized. The weather tomorrow is going to be beautiful!
