Now before anyone tries to tell me it's stress related, I know for a fact it isn't.

I was sitting next to my aunt who was sick on Sunday at my neice's christening. I started to get sick on Wednesday. Now it's so bad my eyes can;t stop tearing, I am stuffed up, my throat is cracked, I can't stop coughing and my voice is going.

If this isn't bad enough, my FH caught it from me now, so he's sick too!!!

How the hell do I tell 75 of our guests tomorrow to stay away from us because we don't want to get them sick??!!

Janna - I know you're getting lots of remedies and I hope one of them works for you!

Drink some hot tea (green is preferable, but they also sell a cold herbal tea in health stores that my BIL lives by when he's sick.) Drink lots of water - at least 8 glasses of water and if you continue to have any sinus/congestion, I use those breathe right strips on my nose at night so I can breathe better and by morning, I feel a whole lot better.

Just rest and relax, so you can enjoy every minute of your beautiful day!!!!

I swear by penicillin or amoxicillin..

When I get a 'cold' and there's a throat issue associated, I call the doc (or go to ER) to get penicillin or amoxicillin -

if you haven't been to a doctor - i would go to the ER and see if there's anything a doc can prescribe for you.

Also try thera-flu (as gross as it is it might help the symptoms and sooth your voice...)

if airborne isn't working, try emergen-c. I know people who swear by it.

keep drinking fluids, especially orange juice. I hope you feel better!

Oh no!!!!

I hope you feel better - stay in bed all day! Go to sleep super early - I find that no matter how sick I am, if I go to sleep way early, I always wake up in the morning much much better!!!

i am a HUGE fan of afrin nose spray. it will TOTALLY dry you out. i use it at night when i have a cold so that i can breath through my nose. And it lasts for hours....

try some herbal tea.

take two sudafeds (for allergies) in case that is what it is.

get a lot of rest

put a vaporizer in your bedroom and run it while you are sleeping to clear you out.

drink a ton of fluids.

you will feel better, you just need to do the things that everyone is suggesting and THINK that they will work-- THINK positive!! mind over matter...

Thanks all!!!

I took some Zycam earlier and it worked wonders. I also took a Claritin-D the first thing in the morning. I feel better but the coughing is still every so often.

FH is not faring as well but he hasn't taken anything yet. I just gave him some Zycam also and another to take tomorrow.

I'm popping some NyQuil tonight and then following with the Zycam tomorrow and praying for the best!!!

I am off to go back to the Wingate Inn!!! I had to stop in to pick up a few things I forgot.
