Getting nervous/upset about one of my vendors...LONG sorry

Ok first off this vendor is NOT affiliated w/ LIW...

FH and I had an appointment two weeks ago to meet w/ our floral/decor vendor. This was our 4th scheduled appointment and we also attended an open house earlier this year. We arrived at 6:45 for what I thought was our 7pm appointment. We were met at the door by her 'associate' who informed us that our appointment was at 6:30 and that our vendor had LEFTalready, since we hadn't shown up.

I felt really bad that is was our mistake but kinda shocked she didn't stay a few minutes longer or try to call my cel.

I know its not her responsibility to 'babysit' us, but she does know that we make an almost 1 hour drive each way to her shop.

The next day I emailed her to reschedule. NO REPLY. Last week another email sent...NO REPLY. I CALLED THURSDAY and her 'associate' took my message and told me she'd call to reschedule....NO PHONE CALL YET

Do you think she is blowing me off or what??????? I don't know what to do if she won't return my emails or calls.

I would say move on to the next vendor unless you know for sure that you want this person to be your vendor.

You already booked this vendor? Can you get your money back?

We went over the decor that we wanted at our last appointment. She emailed us the pricing contract and we were to finalize our decisions and give her our booking fee at this appointment.

The sucky part is that where my wedding is taking place (in PA) she is one of the few companies around that offers venue decor - as hard as that may be to believe

I would call her again and let her associate know that this is getting really aggravating.

Oh that could be frustrating and really unprofessional on their part. Regardless if you were late, why didn't they try calling you to see if you were coming? Is there someone higher there you can speak with??

have you put a deposit down with them? If not, maybe consider a new person. This doesnt sound very professional. Are you evensure it was your mistake and not theirs?

First of all I think that she should have given you 15 more minutes at that last meeting- that was rude and unprofessional of her.

I would call her one last time and mention again that you're sorry that you ran late (or what you thought was early) to the last appointment but that you're really interested in booking her services but that it's aggrivating and unprofessional of her not returning your phone calls.
Also let her know that if you don't hear from her by X date that you'll be looking elsewhere for that serivce since you haven't heard from her regarding your calls to reschedule.

See if this gets her to call you back if not I'd look elsewhere.

I will give her one more call this week and go from there. I am a non-confrontational type of person, but I also run a business and know the value of good customer service. This is totally not a good example of it.

I wouldnt use her if you havent left a deposit.. Thats just my opinion - I was considering a florist that I called 3x that never called me back, one time he actually answered and said he would call back in 10 min...needless to say I didnt go with him
