getting ready?

getting ready?

is anyone getting ready and having their pre-ceremony pictures taken at a hotel? I am realizing that I do not have anywhere appropriate to do this (don't get along with parents, my house is not approp. for pictures) - wondering if the hotels let you check in early, or if I should stay the night before, do you need to ask their permission to take photos in the lobby or whatever?

I know a couple of people that got ready and had their photos taken at a hotel. I believe they spent the night before at the hotel, got ready there and had the photographer come to them there, You could have your bridal party/parents in the room for photos (that's what my friend did), when you are making a reservation, ask about using the lobby for photos too. Good Luck

getting ready?

I am getting ready at the Harrison House in Glen Cove. My photographer suggested it since I can take pictures indoors and outdoors. I am staying there the night before with my bridal party and having my photographer and videographer meet me there early to take pictures. Also, both sets of parents will be there as well.

The hotel told me there would not be a problem taking pictures inside if there was not an event going on. I am getting married Dec. 13 (which is a friday) and hopefully there will not be anything going on throughout the day. Hope this helps!

I was thinking about doing the same thing at the Harrison House. Who did you speak to about the pictures? I am getting married on a Friday and I want to make sure there won't be any problems taking pictures there before the ceremony. Thanks!

I just called the hotel and spoke to someone in reservations. She told me to call back about 3 months before the wedding and she would have an idea if there would be any events going on during the day. Good Luck!
