Getting Ring Cleaned in the NYC Diamond District???

Does anyone know how much it costs and how long it takes?

I got my ring cleaned for free and it took 2 minutes. I think it was on 47th and 5th right on the corner.

If you go into a store and pretend to look at wedding bands, they usually have no prob cleaning your ring...it takes only a minute.

Just went, found my wedding band (whoo hoo) and even haggled down the price by $500 (who knows if they just inflate the price to begin with) - and got my ring cleaned.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I put my sunglasses on...the bling is blarring!

I'm going to go to a family jeweler this weekend and see what he quotes me.

do you think $1000 for a women's wedding band with diamonds on the top half (channel setting) is good? It would be white gold...and sorta look like this:

Depends on the quality, size and number.

$1000 for white gold is a lot, IMO. You should get plat for that much.

Hey, that's how I started too! I knew a lot more than I should have and that made my DH's task of ring shopping miserable... That's what happens when you dream of the 4C's and the ideal setting at age 12!

Ahhhh a gemologist...to be surrounded by nothing but gemstones all day...precious and semi...what could be better?
