Welcome, Mia!
Yes, I agree with Irishbride.... definitely look into where you are getting married first and then go from there! That's probably the biggest & most important 'check' you'll need to do first! :)
Have fun planning!

Re: Getting Started
Hi,
I would def start with the RH 1st before anything else.. esp dress/shoes/veil. Lots of places are filling up already for 2013 so u want to have your date and venue booked then u can take it from there. Work on your glist so u know sbout how big of a place u will need. Then start doing your research on places u like.

I must agree with the other ladies, it is best to start with the RH. Draft a guest list, so you have an estimate of a guest count. Then go look at a few halls, so you can book your date. From there, everything will fall into place.

I agree with the other ladies...figure out your guest list, budget and then find a RH...everything else will then fall in line.

I have to agree with the rest of the girls... definitely figure out date for wedding, time, where you will get married, and what RH you will have ur reception at first. You can't really pick out a dress and all that goes with it until you have a vision for ur wedding!

Totally agree with the other ladies. When FH and I were looking at RH's some places were already booked on the date we wanted.

Re: Getting Started
Hi! I was in the same boat as you only a few weeks ago. I actually got the dress first only because there was a sample sale and it was coincidence, but the reception/ceremony location is getting booked this weekend. I didn't know at all where to start but think about what kind of feel you want for your wedding... something cozy and vintage or a big hall, then go see a bunch in one weekend and you'll know right away where you want it. Good luck! I can't believe how fast 2013 is filling up also! I was told it's because a lot of halls also do sweet 16's, bar mitzvahs, etc. so the times are limited.
