Getting taxes done today...

How much did you pay for getting them done? I think we are being charged 300$ is that crazy?

We paid $200 to get ours done.

I don't know what we are paying yet- he didn't tell us. All I know is I am in COMPLETE shock about the marriage penalty. I knew about it but I didn't know that we would lose almost HALF of what we got back in the past.

I only had to pay $50. but I am not married yet and I think I have a really easy return to fill out.

I don't know about the penelty tax but I know we are getting back $3900 almost!

Christy, I am not sure- All I know is my accountant kept saying Damn marriage penalty. We got over 6k last year. This year we are getting about half that and owe the state somewhere around $150
