So I thought (being the HUGE dork that i am) it would be fun to do a get to know you session...we will be here for the next 2+ years planning and helping and what not ...why not get to know each other??
Names...ages...professions...where your from...what you like to do..how you met FH...how you got engaged...where your getting married...where you want to get married...why did you pick your date...any problems with the planning thus far....i dunno what ever you want...

Kimberly ill be 27 in 2 months tomorrow. I live in Lindenhurst grew up in Sayville. Met FH online via singles.net. FH proposed on Christmas Day. We are getting married in St.Rose of Lima in Massapequa and our reception will be at Chateau Briand. We picked our date due to $. If I had my way I would get married in Sept. No problems yet we knew after 4 RH where we were getting married now we are on to photographer and djs.

I'm Jessica, 22, live in Copiague. I work for a health insurance company. I met FH online. We got engaged when we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary back in September. We're (hopefully) going to be getting married/having our reception at the Riviera. We picked 11/4 because we wanted a fall wedding and there was noo way we could do September! And no problems as of yet besides me worrying about EVERYTHING. The hall & photo will be booked by the end of the month and then I promised I would relax with the planning for a while haha.

I am christina and I will 24 on april 18th...I am currently getting my masters in social work and will FINALLY be done May 21st! WAHOOOO and maybe ill get my life back! hahahaha I am from east meadow and fh (scott) lives in deer park...we met online on true.com...our 4 year anni was yesterday ...we got engaged at the fox hollow a few minutes after mindnight on new years we are having our reception at the de Seversky center and the ceremony has yet to be decided...(soon tho!) we picked 10-30-11 bec we both love the fall and wanted a fall wedding...(god bless you ladies who get married in the summer!!!!!!! i hate the heat! lol)
problems? no learning experiences? yes... hehe

Im katie ill be 23 in march. My FH and I met 7 years ago when we were working at Camp DeBaun in Oceanside. Im from Lynbrook and he is from Oceanside. We both graduated from college this past may. He proposed to me on 2/16 of this year bc he knew that i always said it was cliche to get engaged on valentines day. We are hoping to be married/havje the reception at the Riviera on 11/26 or at Avodah in Oceanside on 8/28 (big difference i know but its all about pricing haha) We picked our date bc we are young and want time to establish ourselves/ save some money! Im in the same boat, I promised as soon as we booked the RH i would calm down with the planning.

im deanna i will be 28 on the 25 of feb. i live in ozone park queens. and im getting married on valentine's day as u can see. me and fh met eachother march 24 2007 and we got engaged on oct 5 2007. yes a long engagment. we had to make sure we had the money.

My name is Heather, I am 24 years old living in Lindenhurst with my FH. I am working on my Masters and FH is working on his degree in IT. We just got engaged on November 8, 2008 at FH's 30th b-day party! That also happened to be our 5yr anniversary so i would like to use the 8th as our wedding date. Im thinking october 8, 2011 since its a saturday. Im still looking at all different RH's right now.

it is NEVER too early to start planning and looking at RH and stuff for your wedding. Things book up really fast on LI so you might be better off if you got a jump start on stuff.

I am 28 years old and my FH is 33. We met two years ago through friends. He works for FedEx and I am graduating nursing school with my RN in May of this year! He proposed on 12/6/08 on the ice at Rockerfeller Center!! We decided to wait two years because we want to save up enough money for the wedding and a house, at least that's the plan! We are going to start looking at RH this week, it's hard because I'm in the middle of finishing my last semester so I don't want to get too distracted yet!! We are hoping to get married in March of 2011 but haven't officially set the date yet. I bought my dress yesterday!! I'm soo in love with it and can't wait to find a RH! Well I guess that's enough! Hi Ladies! I am 24, FH is turning 26. We are both in education (he's a high school teacher and I'm teaching and working at a university). We have been together for over 5 years and we are from Brooklyn. *However* I must confess that we are not engaged yet! I am part of the 'waiting for the ring' crowd. FH and I have talked about it extensively and we will be getting engaged 'at the end of 2009' (he won't give me anything more than that because he already knows when he wants to do it and I am so bad about finding out suprises!) and plan on getting married Fall 2011. Well in the mean time, I am a firm believer in RESEARCH! So I've been loooking around a lot on the internet, ripping pages out of bridal mags, etc. Can I still join the party here? Hi Girls! I'm Diane, my fiance, Andrew. I live in Queens but was raised on Long Island. I'm a Graphic Prints Designer for a fashion company in Manhattan. I met Andrew ....well...online! It was really random but worked out beautifully! We've been dating for 3.5 years and he proposed to me on Valentines Day of this year :::Awwww!!!::: We are planning on marrying in spring of 2011. Everyone asks why we're waiting a full two years, and well I say, why rush? I try to enjoy every stage of our relationship and being engaged is such a fun & exciting time!

My names Lena(20), my fiance is Corey(23) i just joined like 5 minutes ago! I'm from wantagh and he's from california, I'm just finishing up college, so hopefully next year ill be starting my career in public relations.
My fiance and i got engaged this past valentines day, which was amazingg, he took me to the city and we went to the empire state building and the museum of natural history, then we went through a horse and carriage ride through central park, where he stopped the horse and took me over to this pond and proposed, after that we had an amazingg dinner and spent the night in the city.
Were still working on the exact date and place, I know it'll most likely be sometime in may, 2011 obviously, and i think i want it at the fox hollow but we havent gone to see any halls yet! We should start lookin this-next month!!

I am ilana (24) and FH is Mike (27). I am from Glen Cove, NY and he is from Bellbrook (by Dayton), Ohio . We met online on a dating site...I was just browsing people like the nosy girl I am and he was just soooo cute I had to message him! I just graduated in December, working part-time for my Mom. FH is a DOD contractor working for Northropp Grumman. We are not engaged yet but he has picked the ring and its only a matter of time until its found its new home on my finger!!
Also he is looking for a job here and will be moving as soon as he finds one!
