Getting to South Bergen, NJ

FH was offered a new job for a bit more money in South Bergen. He drives to work now in Yonkers, but because of gas prices and tolls he wants to look into how to get to South Bergen by public transportation. I am totally spastic today and cant figure it out using PATH or NJTransit. Thanks in advance for any help

Where exactly in Bergen? I live near Hoboken and Weekhawken but not close enough to take trains. My only options are ferry ($$$$$) or bus (much cheaper and easier if you ask me).

FM if you need details.

FH is calling now to find out exactly where. Thanks. I'll edit the post when I know what town.

some places in jersey (like the town i used to live in - parsippany) are more accessible via the bus.

u could drive to another location to get to the train but the bus in a sense was more convenient because of the pick up spots. so any time i went into the city with my friends we always took the bus to port authority.

i used to live in nj and the public transportation was still confusing to me...i am so thankful for the lirr

Thanks. I've been spoiled using the MTA for the past 10 years that looking at any other map confused me
