Everyone says 'don't go pick out tuxes during prom time, its a zoo!'
When is prom time... I thought I read here that they already saw one happening! I asked my nephew, but of course he has no idea when his own prom is.. LOL
May is definetly a prom month, but are proms done by June? If I wait till the end of June is that too late to get tuxes? That would be 3 months before...
Thanks all!

Re: Getting Tuxes during prom time
Indefintiely don;t think the end of June will be too late. My senior prom was June 18 and my junior prom was june 25 (don't ask how I remeber that) but I think for most people it's may. My sister had a may wedding, they went for tuxes in march, had no problems. I don't think you need a ton of time. I don't know if it'll be mobbed or not due to prom season.

Re: Getting Tuxes during prom time
We checked into the tuxes in Feb. We spoke to a rep who highly reccommended not getting the tuxes in May b/c of the prom season. He said it would be highly hectic. My FH, BM and 2 GM picked out the tuxes, but they all have to get fitted for them. They will be going in June. The guys can wait at least 2 months before the wedding to get their attire b/c it does not take that long to get in. Only the females have a hard time. We have to get our dresses at least 6 months before the actual affair. The RB do not have to go until a month before. Hopes this helps.

Re: Getting Tuxes during prom time
Actually most tux places only need a few weeks time. Best for you to speak to the manager of where you want to go and find out the best time to go. After all you're not ordering a tux specially made for FH, like we do w/ our gowns, just renting one where they take his measurements and find one that will fit him in their collection. Takes a few weeks, I think at the most, a few days if you are strapped but def. call them now and ask about it.
We went 2 months ago and I'm getting married in 11 days.
