Sorry but i need to vent!!! I am plus size bride (not tall, weight wise) and I am starting to get very upset about how i am going to look at my wedding. I have my alteration appointment today and I know they have to adjust it but i feel huge in it. I always thought that i was going to look great for my wedding but the weight didn;t come off quick enough and now I am depressed and leaning toward not wanting to get married. Help i need advise and some words of wisdom.

your fh is marrying you because he loves you for being you. Trust me...once you have your dress on and walking down that aisle, he will be shocked a how gorgeous you look.

Do not second guess marriage bc of this!!!! He loves you for you, he wouldnt be marrying you if he didnt absolutely adore you and find you attractive. I am sorry youre not feeling great about yourself, thats def not a fun feeling. Try to do what you can to feel better by the wedding date, but really remember that FH loves you and is probably so excited to see you in your dress on your special day!

My words of wisdom are that you FH loves you for who you are not how you look in a wedding dress and I am 100% sure that he will think you are the most beautiful thing he has ever seen when you are walking down that aisle!!!
i agree 100% i could say it better. i am a plus size girl too and i been trying to reduce my weight( i hate saying diet or lose) . its my biggest hardest battle i have in my life but i come tolove me for me and like she said above your fh will be saying wow she the most beautiful woman he ever seen. remebr our fh don;t see us the way we see ourselves.

I was a plus size finacee.... I slowly have lost about half of my excess weight over the last year....
When I began the dress hunt, I felt really sad, just like you do right now.... Weight loss was not what got me out of my sadness.... it frankly was a change of attitude
I noticed all the gorgeous glowing plus-sized brides on LIW. They are all radiant. I began to wonder why I don't glow like them... and frankly it was because I was being hard on myself. I only saw the flaws, and not my accomplishments. When I realized that I have accomplished many things that others haven't, and am a loving person with solid morals, I became more self-supportive. Having a loving FH is also a great help (and an accomplishment in itself!) When I changed my attitude, a glow began...
and the glow made it easier to take care of myself, and not only lose weight, but take care of other health issues too....
You're beautiful becuase you are YOU... not becuase you match some physical ideal....
Some really ugly people have gorgeous outside shells.... I would much rather be a heavy girl with solid morals and a loving husband!

you will look beautiful. no worries. please, my drama is that ive actually gained weight and now my damn dress doesnt zip up. Im freaking out. im getting married in oct and afraid my dress wont fit!!!! im actually contemplating buying a new dress! but its like 10 pds. and i can lose it. i just have to work really hard at it. it fits fine except for around the boob area. i really am freaking out!!! im giving myself another month to lose the weight and if i dont i dont know what to do. i should've went for a dress a size bigger but i didnt think i would gain weight!!!!!!!! at this point, size doesnt matter to me, i just need to fit in my dress. talk about being depressed!!!! but seriously, all brides look beautiful no matter what size!

I have been to very many weddings.When I think of the brides that stick out in my mind as being the MOST BEAUTIFUL, it was all b/c of the chemistry between the bride and groom, their happiness, and how they moved through space and how happy they were. THe prettiest bride I ever saw was wearing a used dress and had NOTHING professionally done b/c she was so broke. SHe was stunning....if you had seen the chemistry between her and her husband, you'd know what i mean. Then, I've seen perfec size 4 brides with Vera Wang gowns and yes....they looked beautiful.....but not quite like that. The bottom line is that all brides are beautiful, but the most beautiful ones are so for reasons other than the superficial. wITH ALL THAT SAID....THOSE ARE NOT MY WORDS OF WISDOM. My words of wisdom are......don't forget the joy of what is REALLY going on here......YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
