I haven't gotten a chance to come on and chat the past few days (I feel like I've missed so much lol) but let me just make my comeback with a little vent...
I think me and FH will just live in our parents houses for the rest of our lives. I swear that house hunting is the most frustrating, exhausting and stressful process EVER. We've been looking for over a year and are still houseless I'd rather plan 1,000 weddings for the same day than see another P.O.S. house It seems like this is about the only thing we can afford

They used to live in greensboro but now they bought a house about an hour away from there...but I can't remember the name of the town

Oh mannnnn, I am SO not looking forward to that process...............
It sounds like a headache and a half. I was really pushing for moving to key west. I think the hurricanes are deterring FH.

I don't want to move off LI unless my parents move. In my field youare required to work holidays and if I wouldn't be able to spend them with my family at all and just work, it wouldn't be worth it to me.

here is what I'm talking about. They are both $315,000 guess which one is in nc and which is in LI note: if there is no pictures attached this did not work
the house on the bottom, that date is my birthday!!!

yuck i know what you mean as we speak FH is upstairs building us an apartment in my parents' attic lol we call it the 'love cave'
anywho - we cant move far since FH owns a business in our neighborhood BUT while it seems so wonderful to move away, my sister has been looking at NJ and PA for over 3 years and we recently figured out she has gone to see over 100 houses. . .and has found great once
however, my BIL has gone to over 50 interviews and has not gotten a single job AND the closest jobs to the cheaper houses were always a two hour drive at least!!
i am such a baby i could never leave my family, but it is discouraging that even moving to where cheaper housing is available can be impossible. . .

The houses will come down!!! We are hoping atleast, planning to start looking at the end of this year!

My real estate agent tried to show us that house (obviously the one on the bottom) I'm kinda bad because I jusdge houses immediately with a first glance (or first picture) on the hand FH is a carpenter and see's houses that I pass up as 'diamonds in the rough'. He goes on and on telling me what he would do to it, the extensions, the flooring, knock down this, expand that, skylights, pool, etc., etc. They I usually just do this...

I was talking to FH this weekend about this. I mean I cadnt walk into a house and PICTURE how we can chanage it cosmetically.
FH is able to retire in 10 years (maybe 11) but I think he will still work. If my parents and family aall lived down south i would definitely go. but if I moved there I would never be able to afford to move back. Thats a scary fact also!
