Ok I'm asking this for my friend to keep this on the DL.
One of your friends is getting married a few months after you. They give you a gift for your wedding that is less than you, personally, would normally give someone.
At their wedding, do you give back what they gave you, or do you give the amount you normally would give??

normal amt, people have different ideas of how much things cost, and some people just cant afford the same amt. def give what you would normally give, thats what i do and would do if i were in your situation

last year my brother had a deal with anyone else getting married around the same time as them...they both just didnt give gifts!

I would give what I normally give. I'm a firm believer in give what you can because people are able to give different amounts depending on their situation.

Unless there is more of a story I would give what they gave you, I would feel bad if someone gave me more then I gave them. There were four couples at out wedding that we did not even exchange with at all becasue we were all getting married this year!

Yeah I agree with this... I feel like you giving more than what they gave you would make them feel like you thought they were cheap.

I'd give what you can. Maybe if what you were going to give is drastically more than what they gave you can bring your number down a bit as to not make them feel bad
