Gift for boss

Before I approach the team with this I wanted to run this by you girls first.

I was thinking about a christmas gift for my boss, who is BIG into shoes..
I thought a 500.00 gift cert to Molono Blanik or Jimmy choo shoes would be a GREAT idea. Do you think that is stupid?

I will get some heat from some who shop at payless and think its unHEARD of to spend that much on shoes but before I dealt with this I wanted to make sure its a good Idea.

$500 seems like a lot of $$ to spend but hey, if you and your team can come up with it, then why not.

Oh thats about how much they will spend cause its alot of people chipping in. Shes the VP so there are alot who report to her.

I would LOVE that gift....but yes, you can probably expect some complaints from co-workers!

I think that's AWESOME!!! I know I would LOVE that!!!!

At first I thought you were giving $500 g/c alone, I felt guilty, because my boss is lucky to get anything! haha!

I say go for it, and to those that think it's unheard of, tell them not to worry because it's not for them!

Thanks girls.. i am going to tell them today.

I really like this boss, she was VERY good to me when I was sick, and NEVER EVER complains about all the time I need off..

I like it- maybe get her a pair of socks to put in the box with the gift cert- or some shoe accessories, like polish or a cleaning kit. Gift certs are nice, but I like getting a little something extra for them.
