Hi girls, one of my bridesmaids and closest friends is getting married in August (I am in her wedding too); she lives out in Colorado and that is where her shower is in June; after pricing airline tix ($400!!) I reluctantly decided not to go, but I want to send something really special for her to open that day; something other than (or in addition to) something on her registry...
Any suggestions????
Thanks in advance!

Are they going somewhere tropical for their HM? Maybe you can get her a nice underwater camera?

Maybe a make a scrapbook for her wedding experience. You don't even need the photos, just leave a spot to where she'd put the photo. It could be fun. Starting off from when they first met, their first holiday together and so on and include an area for the engagement, Bridal SHower, and wedding.

Re: Gift for fellow bride
maybe you could have something sent to their room the first night of their honeymoon like a nice bottle of wine. Or maybe find a spa near her and get her a massage?

What about a personalized tote (justemboirderedtotes.com) has adorable, affordable ones. and then you can make it like a wedding day survival kit...fill it with babywipes, just married flipflops, bandaids, deodorant, oilblotting papers, hand lotion, etc.

I say just stick to the registry and buy something really nice on there...I am one of these people that thinks that anything she needs or wants will be on there so you really can't go wrong.

Re: Gift for fellow bride
The best special thing I got at my shower was a long letter from my best friend since I was 3. If I were you, I'd buy somethign great off the registry and then send a letter and maybe a framed photo of the two of you. Or, if you've been friends for a long time, maybe a framed photo of you guys from recently and one from a long time ago. I know me and my BFF have a photo from 2nd grade field day.
