gift for friend who's wedding is exactly one year away?

Hi all! I'm looking for a gift (not too expensive, but thoughtful) for a friend who will be getting married in exactly one year, i want to give it to her on that day....any ideas? i'm pretty crafty so even making something is ok....please advise :)

Hi- A few presents we got for our engagement which were very special to us: 1. A time capsule (very attractive box actually), where we put all of our stuff after the wedding... 2. A book called The Language of Marriage, which includes all poems about love, put out by Blue Mountain Arts. A nice coffee table book... 3. A marriage certificate holder (I think they have them at Fortunoff's) - it's silver and beautiful! Hope these help you...good luck!

Negative One Party

We had a negative one bridal bbq. Exactly one year before our wedding, both sides of the bridal party (plus their boyfriends/girlfriends) got together and had a bbq/party in honor of our negative one anniversary. It was great! Some people in the bridal party did not know each other so this was a great opportunity for everyone to hang out. My fi and I were so happy b/c all the people we chose to be in our bridal party are our closet friends and family and they were all together in the same room. It helped everyone look forward to the wedding. It was fun. Maybe you can organize a negative one anniversary party. It's too cold for a bbq, but an appetizer party, or even everyone meeting somewhere would be nice. We have so many pictures from that day and we smile every time we think of it.
