gift ideas

So I'm getting married in 13 days and still do not have gifts for MOH, my parents, FH parents, or FH. Any ideas???

MOH - how about some jewelry? or a spa gift cert?

Parents (yours or FH's) - a digital photo frame? gift cert to dinner somewhere?

FH - nice watch? cufflinks?

we're not giving our parents any gifts, btw ... do you HAVE to give htem gifts? are they expecting it?

Picture frames are always safe and usually appreciated. You can go to Things Remembered and get them personalized quickly, too.

For women, you can get them spa gift cards or something related. For the men, maybe also gift cards but to more manly stores like Lowes.

I got my grandfather and my father local history books and they really liked them in addition to cards and picture frames.

I think the picture frame idea for the parents is good, esp since we opted out of the parent albums (to save money). I'll def check Things Remembered.

I'm paying for MOH's hair on the day of, which is $75, but she's my sister so I wanted to get her something memorable too. Maybe I'll get her a picture frame too.

As far as FH is concerned, I was going to buy him this new cologne that he's been wanting and then he went and bought it for himself on Saturday! I actually started crying when he told me. Total bride meltdown! LOL!

Re: gift ideas

I was thinking small gifts.... but then our family friend who just got married (and the parents paid for almost the enitre big wedding) they got them a trip to mexico!

....So now I think my parents are looking for something a little larger. I am thinking maybe a weekend away out east to montauk (right after labor day) with a spa treatment to relax?

For the FH parents (since they are not contributing money wise that much) we are going to get them a book of our wedding photos (maybe one of the whole family framed for them) and maybe overnight in AC (bc they love to gamble).
