gift! - need your help

ok my childhood friend got engaged, she moved to Texas, and she just broke the news to me!!...ofcourse i can not go and give her a huge hug cuz shes all the way there...and i cant attend her engagement party either.... cuz of work/school

but i wanted to send her something? any ideas...like a small gift w/ a really nice card...

ill definately be attending the wedding but thats much later in a year and a half..


need ideas of what i should send her?

is she registered?? if so, maybe something nice from her registry

nice toasting flutes might be another idea...

i would maybe send her a bridal planner, they have aome nice ones on exclusively weddings and in borders. . . she may have 1 already.

but w/ me, i always loved BRIDE things, anything that said BRIDE on it, or newlywed stuff. . . (that is of course if u dont want to sned money) . . .

how about a bridal magazine subscription

check out magazines.com

you can get say 4 issues for like 12 bucks

or which ever bridal magazine you want...its much cheaper doing a subscription rather than buying it individually

i did alot of christmas gifts this way...its so easy and so convienient....and such a cool way to help her plan her wedding

i was going suggest the same thing....send her a planner basket or package. since you already started you know what she'll need. or you can buy her a subscription to modern bride or something.
Oh btw they now have chicken soup for the bride's soul.

One of my good friends got me a subscription to Martha Stewart Weddings which I thought was awesome. Thats my suggestion.

My friend did the same thing with Modern Bride. It was great.

Or you could always just have a piece of Lenox or Waterford shipped to her...that's a keepsake and with the holidays here you could definitely get some good buys.
