Gift Opinion - Sisters?

Gift Opinion - Sisters?

I got my BMs jewelry, but it didn't come in a nice box (I got it on overstock.com) so I planned on buying a trinket box to put the jewelry in.

I'm getting my sister a box that says 'Sisters, through the years, sharing laughter, sharing tears' engraved on the top

I'm getting my BMs one that say 'I am so lucky to have a friend like you' engraved on the top.

MY question is - which one to get FSILs? Or should I just get them a plain one? I thought it would be a nice gesture to get the sister one, like. . .now we're the same family, etc. but I'm not sure.

What do you think?

i would definetly get something engraved on them- are you close enough not to feel funny putting sisters on it?

If you are close with them you could write...

Thankful to have you as my 'Sister'

Or something like that. I think either way it's very thoughtful.

I'm not being cheap, but this is like an add-on to their gift and I just can't afford the extra engraving to clarify lol.

Can I write that in the card with the gift? Am I being tacky?

I'm closer with one more than the other. . . . But I can't do it for one. . .These are like pre-inscribed. Its like $45 bucks to add an additional inscription or I would have put something in there about how now we are sisters, yada yada.

hmm right you cant do for one sister and not the other- maybe you should leave them blank and put a nice note in the boxes are they all going to open them in front of eachother

I don't think that's a cheap gift by anymeans. If you are closer to one than the other, maybe a plain one is best and write really personalized notes in each of their cards.

Yeah, I'm going to give them out at the RD.

This is just such a small part of their gift, I just don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, because I mean - they aren't just a friend, they are family now, but I don't know about the sister thing.

Maybe I should just get cute decorated ones for everyone but my sister?

Good idea. You can probably go to target or something and get cute little trinket boxes with no engraving. Get the one for your sister engraved.
