Ok, don't know what the right way to go about this.....
I got an RSVP with a no and a check. Is it ok to cash it now or do I wait 18 days (OMG) till my wedding ? I could really use it but don't know if that is rude!

I would cash it now and send them a little thank you. Then after the wedding when you are sending out your thank yous (with pictures) send another one saying - I just wanted to thank you again.

wow...im not sure about that..personally i think they gave it to you...why wouldnt you be able to cash it..i do know what you are saying though..thats a tough one.

I would cash it. No one likes when they get their bank statements and there is a check unaccounted for.

Cash it and send a note when you send all the others. I did this. The note can say, thanks for the gift-sorry you were unable to attend...etc..
