Gift Question

Gift Question

So in reading these posts it seems the thing to do is buy presents for everyone involved. we have 1 reader, so ok we can buy her a little something. Here's the question, my aunt will be saying a quick prayer, blessing the wine. would this mean I need to give her a gift as well?

so many gifts, so little money

what does everyone think?

I don't think you have to get presents for everybody.

Re: Gift Question

We got gifts for everyone involved, Parents, BP, readers, my aunt who decorated the church, etc.

Just a small token of appreciation is fine. The way I see it, these people are special enough to have such an important role in the wedding, the least we could do was acknowledge them.

For your aunt... maybe you could get her a corsage. Wrist, pinned, or sm. bo-k whatever it'll designate her as a special player in the ceremony.

i agree with Kate -- a corsage sounds like a nice touch. I am still searching for what to get my readers - I was thinking a nice silver plated bookmark ?? I Dunno

Re: Gift Question

now Im thinking about another thing... I found out that my OTHER aunt is helping my sister financially with the shower. Im thinking now I need to get her something special too.... what do you girls think?

so many people to think about acknowledging and to think, we are throwing this wedding completely for ourselves....

Re: Gift Question

For my aunt, who worked so hard to make my wedding day pretty, I sent her a basket of Brownies from Fairytale Brownies... (she LOVES chocolate)

Of course, to save money there is no reason you can't do this yourself by getting a basket from Michael's and whipping up a batch of brownies! Homemade gifts are the Best!
