Gifts.

So we are planning to give our BP gifts; girls bridesmaid t-shirts & a canvas bag with their names on them, the guys will get groomsmen t-shirts & glass beer mugs with their initials etched in the glass.

We are planning to give our moms one of the canvas bags with 'mother of the bride/groom' on it, a snow frame, & something else small

Now for dads, John's getting his dad this money clip he knew he wanted, but I don't know what to give my dad. So my question is, did you ladies give your parents anything at your Engagement party to include them when you gave your BP gifts? We just wanted something to say thanks to our parents for helping us so much. I'm stumped on what to get my dad.

So, if you ladies DID give gifts, what did you get for your dads?

We didnt do any gifts for anyone. We also didnt ask our BP to be our BP at the party...we are going to do it around christmas this year...I dont think its neccessary to give the parents gifts at the eparty

well..of course you are the bride and its all up to you but i dont think gifts for the bp and parents are necessary at an engagement party. imo, gifts are given only at the rehearsal dinner as a thank you for all the help those people have given during the past year leading up to your wedding.... and for being a part of all the planning and sacrificing their time and money to help out....

we didnt give gifts at our e-party. all gifts will be given to everyone at the rehearsal dinner. there is a lladro of a father and a daughter that i want to get my dad....however it is booko bucks!

Usually it is customary to give out the BP and parent gifts at the RD. Although I think it is a sweet idea, I haven't yet heard of giving gifts out at the e-party. Usually your e-party is for you to get gifts Maybe you could save them for your RD? This way you won't have to spend twice for your BP and parent gifts
