Gifts for Bridesmaids

Hi. I've narrowed down my choices for gifts for my bridesmaids and i wanted to run it by all of you to see which one you'd like. Please be honest and tell me if you'd like getting either one of these as a gift:

1) Personalized stationary (probably note cards with their name on it) AND a personalized cosmetic case. The cosmetic cases are made individually with any fabric thatI choose- I will chose one for each girl that matches her personality. The case will be personalized with either the girl's name or first initial.

2) A large assortment of personalized stationary (note cards plus memo pads, etc).

I'd personally like #1. I think the use of stationary has gone by the wayside. It's always nice to have nice stationary for special notes and such and the make-up case I think serves as the more functional gift. I think it's a nice blend of gifts.
