Gifts for New DAD ?

Anyone have ideas for gifts for my DH ?

He already told me what hes getting me, incase I didnt like it.. a pendant Cameo w a baby on it, inscribed in the back, very cute ! (its on zales.com)

Any IDeas for him ? something comemorative maybe ?? like a 'to daddY' gift ???

If he works at an office you can frame a nice photo of him & the baby. Or if not one for his bed-side table. (if it's a great pic you can make it b & w to make it look different)

Does he have to travel for work? If so, get one of those leather folding frames so he can have a picture of you and your baby with him at the hotel.

If he is a coffee drinker why not one of those I Love My Daddy mugs with the baby's photo on it.
Do you have a video camera? Maybe a new digital camera?

I also think power tools are great

I am getting my hubby a Christmas ornament that says 'New Daddy's First Christmas'...it's a Daddy bear holding a baby bear. I am having the year printed on it. Also, I got DH a brass door knocker with our last name engraved on it for our new home.

Here's another (more personal) idea, which I did for my DH for his first Father's Day...this can easily be adapted to Christmas, too. I bought him a leather (masculine looking) photo album, and on the inside cover, I transcribed the lyrics to a lullaby that DH's Dad wrote to him when he was born (it's about a father and son). You could write your own poem, or the lyrics to a special song.

Then I took a few pics of Jeff and Paul, and put them in the album with the dates. Every year, I will take more pics and update the album, so that DH will be able to look back on every Father's Day and see how much Paul has grown and changed over the previous years. It's sort of sentimental, but that's ME!

Does he watch football? maybe you could get DH a his favorite teams jersey and get a little one for the baby! then every sunday, daddy and baby can spend the day in their matching jerseys!!!!!
