I know this has been asked a bunch of times (I never paid attention b/c it didn't apply to me yet haha). Can someone point me to a thread talking about when to send thank yous for gifts received before the wedding? I can't find it in the search. TIA!

Re: Gifts sent before wedding
It's ok to send them when you get them, so the giver knows the gift has arrived. It's also ok to call and say thank you, then send the 'offical' thank you when you get pics.
you send thank you cards when you get a gift....its as simple as that!

Our thank you cards have both our names on them along with the same design as our invites, however they have my married name (Jane and John Smith). Technically, I am not Jane SMITH until after the wedding so is it odd to send these before the wedding? I got some gifts 2 weeks ago... 2 months before the wedding and don't know what to do.

I would send a generic TY when you receive it and the Official TY after the wedding.
For the PP, I think you can send it even tho it has your married name...just write something to the affect of 'yea not Mrs. XX yet but its ok'
