Gilmore Girls and the proposal

I finally got around to watching this week's Gilmore Girl's episode and it got me thinking....

Ladies, during your proposal, did you guys scream YES! or where you more freaked out and speechless?

I was completely shocked at first but knew he was the one so said yes and then said right afterwards I think I am going to get sick. He really got my stomach turning. Then after the shock (about 5 minutes later) the tears of joy started rolling down my face.

I was absolutely freaked out.

I actually kind of sympathize with Rory, because I felt similar in a lot of ways at the time... I knew that I loved him and wanted to marry him some day, but I wasn't quite sure that I was ready yet... that's why we decided on a long engagement - to give ourselves time to grow up a bit more. it made it so that we were promised to each other the way we wanted to be, without the pressure of having to be ready NOW.

and in her situation, being asked to pick up and move across the country... I can't blame her at all for not being ready. I actually thought it was really unfair of him to push it on her like that and not even be willing to make it work until she was ready to take that next step.

but then, I was never a huge Logan fan, although he did improve in my eyes as time went on... until this last episode, that is. who proposes like that in front of all of those people she hardly knows?

i blurted out 'are you f-ing kidding me?' he got me GOOD! i had not a clue in the world he was going to propose. then i said of course and started to cry

I totally knew it was coming, so when it happened, I knew. The funny part was that he hid the ring and proposal--he wrote it out, the silly boy--in the gift of a piece of the art pottery I collect. When I saw the vase, I forgot for a minute about the proposal, I just admired the vase. Then I saw there was a piece of paper inside it, so I said, 'the receipt?' to him? He just raised his eyebrows and made a funny face, and I thought, oh, the proposal!! and opened it up. The ring fell out, and the paper read, 'Will you marry me? Please check the appropriate box.' There was a huge YES and a very small no. Then it said 'PS I love you.' I've got the paper framed and sitting on my desk, I'm looking at it right now. So I went and got my Mont Blanc, because I like to use it for all important documents, checked the 'yes,' gave it to him, and burst into tears. Very smooth.

that is so adorable!! I love that!

I knew we were going to get engaged however I thought it was going to be 2 months later than when it actually happened so I was shocked! I felt sooo excited and shocked that it made me nauseous and I thought I was gonna gag! lol Once it sunk in I stood up and jumped up and down like a silly school girl.

I was shocked. I kept saying 'OMG' after I said yes. I had no idea he was going to propose!!

We had talked about getting married for years, so I wasn't shocked, and I said 'of course' right away. I even had a feeling that he was going to ask me the day that he did because it was our 5 year anniversary. But I tried to act surprised for his sake when he asked me. lol

I was not expecting it to happen when it did- my response was:

1) are you serious? (bc I was in shock)
2) YES!!! (when he said he was)
3) can I see the ring??? (bc he was so excited I said yes, he started hugging me w/out putting the ring on first!)

On the Logan note....that was totally predictable, but I wasn't any less angry when he did it!! I always thought he was a little impulsive and they didn't belong together- but I was kinda hoping he would make the big plunge and tell her he would stay where she was so they could be together- I don't think he comprises at all for her...:(

I was speechless. I just kept saying 'oh my god oh my god' because Iw as so surprised..I knew it was coming, but never ever expected FH to do it then.

I kinda knew it was coming, it better have been haha, but when he actually asked me I said 'Are you serious? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!?!?!?!? Oh my GOD, yes!!! Yes of COURSE!!'

i also had no idea what to say. I kindve sat in silenece with a crazy look on my face looking for words to say but nothing would come out my mouth, which never happens lol, so i was completely speechless! I could actually hardly even say YES i shook my head and cried (happy tears ofcourse) lol...too funny.

i cried

i realized that it was coming b/c we talked about our future so it wasn't a surprise that he had wanted to marry me- it was more of just waiting for him to pick a ring and do it...

so, when he did i kinda had a feeling b/c he brought me to my church but it was just so beautiful and actually happening- and what he said was so sweet and i just balled.
