GINORMOUS WORK VENT - beware!
Okay so I work for Social Security - and I process people's cases. . . when you get out of training class you have a mentor. . . well back a year ago i got THE MOST anal mentor EVER - so as all of my friends were moving up and working WITHOUT a mentor - i was learning the minute details of the history of Social Security and how to do things without using hte computer but with an abacus and a sundial . . .
ok so then i get another mentor who is pretty nice and helpful - so i go on my 'audit' which means i process cases for a week and i get 'errors' but if i get 90% accuracy then BOOM! i get to work cases on my own YAY ( about 9 months behind my co workers and delayed for my raise. . .but ok whatever)
So I am on my audit and i process a case the way i have done it for the past two years. . . the supervisor gives me an error on it!
So i ask my old mentor what she thinks and basically like 4 people surround me and tell me NOT to protest the error EVEN THOUGH I AM RIGHT because hte supervisor who is reviewing my cases WILL MAKE ME CRY AND GO OUT OF HER WAY TO FAIL ME!
so after this long hard journey, working here for TWO years practically . . . I have to get an error on something i did RIGHT. . .because of a scary lady! I AM SO MAD! and today is the last day of my audit but all i have been doing it sitting here and fuming!! I feel like crying, I am so stressed!!!
If I fail the audit because of this one case and then they told me to fight it but its just so frustrating!
