Hi All, I figured it might be helpful to create one thread for everyone to list suggestions regarding photographers, officiants, florists, food tasting, hotels, shuttles,rehearsal dinners and any other info that goes into having a wedding at Giorgio's since we are all getting married at Giorgio's!

I am sorry, I should have worded this differently. I think its If you want to use Giorgio's built in uplighting, LI Sound and Absolute are the only two vendors that can use it. I am not sure about getting your own lighting through a different company.
We went through the uplighting thing in a thread like a month ago. I think the conclusion was the only Giorgio's vendors can use the new built-in system. Other vendors can bring in uplighting, but it might not have quite the same effect because it'll be further from the wall. Or something like that... I didn't fully pay attention because I'm having an afternoon wedding and not using uplighting. Just call and ask for clarification.
The conclusion was...other vendors cannot bring it. it will not light up the wall bc its too far away

So in order to use the uplighting at all we have to have absolute or li sound? Even if we just want one color lighting the whole night?

You can contract Giorgio's to do it and then you can choose whatever DJ you want. Giorgio's charges the same as most DJs.
