Sad news ladies, the restaurant is closed except for Sunday brunch Luckily, we got to have five fabulous meals there and will miss our special trips out to Giorgios. My FI and I are going there tonight to choose our menu. What color linen are you thinking of having? I want white but am unsure how that will look with the creme chairs, what do you think, their is alot of creme in the room?

I think we are going to chose the sandle wood linens. I had seen it there when the room was set up for someone else's wedding and it looks wonderful. I think I have to see what else they have though.

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!

i just got engaged in dec of 04 and i want to go to giorgio's but i can't convince my parents because the say the place is too far away from our nassau vicinity. my fiancee and his parents were both there for weddings and they both said it was the best wedding they ever been to. I don't like the lack of property where to take pics but i'm starting to get more ideas from other people's websites. any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have your parents been out there? I think you should take a trip with them so they can see the ample amount of beautiful places to take pictures. I'm going there before my ceremony to take pictures there, instead of a garden or park in Suffolk.

I live in Nassau County and we are having our wedding in Nassau. The trip to Giorgio's is approximately 45 minutes from our house. I have been to weddings in the past 2 weeks in Pennsylvania and South Carolina for friends. I've also been to weddings in upstate NY, Westchester, Bronx, and on and on and on..........Eastern LI is not that far away when you think of it. If people truly want to be a part of your special day, and extra 1/2 driving will not kill them. We love the distance because it means more fun in our Limobus!! Good luck with your search, but never rule out Giorgio's!!!

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!

For all you Giorgio's Brides. Did any of you get ready there in the bridal suite? My ceremony is at 11:30 and I was wondering if you think they would let me get ready in there with my bridesmaids at around 6:00/6:30 in the morning! My photographer is coming at 9:00. We are taking pictures before the ceremony.
Also what were the favorite dishes at your cocktail hour and main dishes? Did any of you do a duet course and if you did what did you have?
TIA for all your help

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!

I love hearing that people are getting married here...I can't wait for your reviews.

Isn't the place a hidden gem. I'm surprised more people don't book here. It's really not that far out there either. I hate it when people will look at Eastwinds, but say Giorgio's is too far (it's 5 minutes away) and so much prettier (IMO)

I'm getting married in the evening, so I'm not sure what time you can start getting ready at Giorgio's. I know I can't be there until 5:30 (ceremony starts at 6:30) on my wedding day if there is another wedding that morning. I can start taking pictures on the ground whenever I want, but I can't be in the suite or main facility until 5:30 so that bride has the day to herself. I think it's nice that really try to keep it one bride at a time.

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!

when did you all book your weddings for giorgio's? the dates i want are all booked up, esp for the evening weddings. yeah i saw all the pictures on your website your pictures were beautiful esp the sunset pictures. i never saw the entire golf course, where the waterfall is and they never took up down to the beach.
