I am getting married there in August 2004 and always have questions about our place. of course they are always cheesy questions but why not a place for us to ask them!!
anyone ever had the cake or vienese there? or is any bride getting the vienese?

Speaking of pictures. how much time is everyone leaving for pictures throughout their day?

When are you girls going to pick your menu, linens, etc.? They said to do it about a month before, but I think I want to do it now to get it done, I have enough going on a month before...

I was going to call sometime this week to find that out also. We never asked when we signed the contract. I would rather get it done now while I know I have some free time, and not wait until a month before when I know i'll be running around like crazy.

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
Hello everyone! I am also a Giorgios Bride!!! Just Booked! I have a quick question I am hoping someone may be able to answer...i just noticed that it says on this site under the Giorgio's Link that Directional cards and Place Cards are available upon request...but unlike the wedding cake and choice of linens it doesn't say 'included'...do they charge for their Directional and Place Cards or are they a part of the package? Any info on that would be great! Thanks Ladies...Happy Planning!

I already got the directional cards to put in witht the invites (I am making my own place cards) - they do not charge you, just ask for them.

hellllooooo ladies! just a question. i was reading about this 'twilight wedding.' what the heck is it? i dont get it?
anyway, i hope everyone's planning is going well. i just wanted to know who you guys were using for your hotel. i called the hampton inn and they are already booked!!! so i had to go with the holiday inn express - same deal as the hampton inn....you can also get a 'room' for your guests to hang out in, in between the ceremony and the reception....

Hey Shea, I was the one who had earlier mentioned the twilight wedding. What that is is basically you have the only wedding there that day so you can decide on the time that you want your reception to start, it can start at 4, 5, 6 oclock basically. Mine is booked for a Sunday so that may be why they offered this package, its a bit more expensive per plate, but it may be availble for anyday, not sure. Needless to say I booked the twilight wedding and now i may have to cancle it anyway because we can't get a church time early enough so we have enough time for pictures. I hope that this helps. Oh that hotel sounds really good especially for that extra room for the guests to hang in.

Well, my FH and I went last night and picked our menu and our linens...we're gettin there...
I'm not sure what hotel we'll be using either. Which hotels have a place for the guests to hang out in and what is it like? does it have a bar or something. I'm really clueless, so I might be way off on all of this.
I'm excited to know that we could get placecards from them. Do we pik them up and fill them out?

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
I just picked up direction cards and placecards...to be honest with you the place cards IMO are ugly. I went straight to Michael's and bought my own...but again just my opinion.

okay, so i won't count on those! You know what, I might do votives for the place cards so I won't need them anyway!!
I also just realized that I need to figure out my hotel because if I do STD's I should send the hotel info with it, right?
Here is a big favor: could you please give me a list of hotels in the area? I'm here in CA and I don't know when I'm going to be back home for more than 48 hours (my cousin's getting married and I'm flying in on Sat night, the wedding is sun, and I leave Mon morn!) That would be a huge help so I can call for prices and stuff. Thanks SO much in advance!!

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
41 days and counting. We picked out our menu a couple weeks ago and had SonicStef lay them out: Menu layout We are using the first one. How are you all doing?
ETA - I forgot - Do any of you know if they finished the work on the gazebo and the archway outside - I know they finished the waterfall area.

We are also searching for hotels because I would like a bar in the hotel and the Hampton Inn doesn't have one. Others we looked at are the Marriot Courtyard, Holiday Inn Express, Wyndam Windwatch, Islandia Marriot, Radison off of exit 63, and the Best Western East End. Just to name a few! I love Giorgios but the one thing that bothers me is the bathroom, the doors don't close and I just wish it had more stalls. What do you think? Its not like they could really redo it because they have the restaurant year round!

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
Yeah I agree about the bathrooms too. they a \re sooo tiny and you have to share them with the patrons from the restaurant so its not as private as one might want. Overall, I love gorgio's but more space would be a bonus in the bathroom :)
