You have to call Create-a-cake and make an appt the number is (631)473-0811. Giorgios covers the basic cake and you can adjust it however you want, it'll just cost more.

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
So did anyone go to the showcase? My parents and sister went in my place, and my sister won a full day at a spa in Nesconset!! I think that since they were there because I'm getting married, I should get it, but she doesn't agree with me! It includes a manicure, pedicure, hour long facial, a message, a head message, shampoo and conditioning treatment and blow dry. How awesome?! I hope the showcase went well and if you went, I hope you had a good time!

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
Hey Giorgio's ladies!! I just booked girogio's last weekend and am psyched! I absolutely fell in love with it online and even though its about an hour away from my family and I, I just had to go and see the place. Of course when I got there I just fell in love, as I'm sure all of you had. I am so excited to talk to you girls and hear all about your plans. I wish that they had a video though because I'm dying to see it in the spring and sumemr time. iw ent when there was snow on the ground, and loved it just as much. Also did anyone get any goodies thrown in that I could keep my eye out for?

If the weather is good I am going. I love the water pictures they are so beautiful. They said that there is a golf cart that holds like 9 people that will take you down to the water. It sounds like fun...I can't wait!

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
Hey ladies! I'm totally psyched to go down to the beach and take pictures too!! How fun does it sound to ride down in a golf cart! How much time do you guys think it will take for pictures because I do want to do the gardens as well as the beach. We're trying to get married in a church and I'm not sure what time we should have the reception? We booked the twilight wedding so that way we can decide the time, but not sure how much time we'll need for pictures. Any advice?

I'm a little nervous about timimg also...getting married at 4:00 in Coram and cocktail hour starts at 7:00. I'm not sure if that leaves enough time for the garden and beach. Maybe I can make the church a little earlier. By the way what is a twilight wedding?

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
Hey robsbuba Twilight wedding was a little bit more money per plate but basically what that means is that we will be the only wedding that day so we can decide what time we want the reception to start and end. This was really convenient for me and the fam. because I live over an hour away and much of the family lives further. But I'm definitely having a hard time deciding on what time to start the reception, being that I'm not too sure how much time one needs

That's really strange because we were told the same thing...that there was only one wedding per day and we can start any time we wanted. I wonder if we were over charged for that without knowing.

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
i was kind of afraid that I would have TOO much time. Our chuch starts at 2:30 in St. James (the latest any church around us would do it) and the cocktail hour starts at 7:00. I guess by the time everyone leaves the church and gets out there it wont be that bad!

It's hard to decide on times...you don't want your guest hanging out for so long without anything to do... but you want to have enough time for your pictures

I'm sure you weren't over billed but from what I was told there are 2 receptions a day, one during the day and one at night, during these two receptions you are the only bride but if you have the night wedding starting at 7 than you can't get to Giorgios until after 5 to start taking your pictures because the other party is still going on. That was my impression. This was why we went with the twilight wedding because then we could start our pictures whenever we needed too without worrying. AS well as get our families home at an earlier hour becuase it is a sunday night. I hope I'm not mis-informing anyone, that was just the impression that I had gotten when I was there. If anyone else knows something please let me know, 'cause I could be wrong.
