Oh NO! Come to think of it, My friend used them 3 years ago, and I remember her not being thrilled. That stinks. Good thing you knew about it.
Well.....Artie is great if you wanna see him. Also, alot of the LIW Brides rave about Duet and 12th Night and Patken too.
Ohhhhh!...........You should also look at Verdi. They are amazing, amazing, amazing. They were too pricey for me, but if I had all the $ in the world for my wedding, I would have totally used them. SO fabulous!!!!

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
Just a couple comments. Rolling Pin and David are great - no longer Create A Cake. Just head over to his store to talk to him and pick out your cake. My wedding is mid November so I'll post pics of my cake at that time. I also tried a cake from there at a Giorgio's wedding about two months ago and it was very good, very fresh. The do have marble, someone said they didn't. If you want anything else David can do it you just have to pay more. Tommy's Tunes is no longer the house band at Giorgio's. We didn't book them anyway. Look at Giorgio's website. There has been work done on the gardens, bridge, extra lighting, flowers, etc. Looks better than this time last year. Food is amazing. At the wedding I went to I tried mine, my fiance's and my cousins main dish and they were all excellent. Cocktail hour was great. We're going with the Viennese Hour which I heard is just unbelievable.

I didn't know that they were getting new chairs. We'll just have to wait and see....how beautiful they will be. That is exctiting. Although I agree with Jola. I didn't see anything wrong with the ones they had. They were actually kinda nice. I think they looked like fabric and not plastic!!!!!

Oh yes....I noticed a new Giorgio's bride. Anyone attending the Gala on November 21st....? I would like to go! I think amy said she was going to go also.
We are going on the 21st...it's the day we got engaged last year, so that's pretty cool!

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
My sister got married at Giorgios in July 2004. The cakes are made from the bakery called The Rolling Pin. I believe it is located in Setauket. She had a cake filled with raspberry and vanilla custard filling. People went crazy over this cake. It was great!!!

I'm not sure but we saw what they look like and they are very, very similar to the chairs they already have, they just look new, they weren't out yet though about a month ago

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
Hi ladies - I am sorry to butt in on your thread (Giorgios sounds incredible!) but I am an east end bride as well (North Fork) and I am struggling to find a RD location out there for about 28 dollars per head - casual. I know alot of Giorgios girls use The Inn at Quogue, but I was hoping to hear some alternative suggestions. THanks so much!!

Why don't you try the restaurant at Giorgios they probably have a few menu choices for about $28.00 or maybe Desmonds at the Inn at East Wind

Re: Giorgio's Brides thread!
New chair info -
I was there two weeks ago and the chairs weren't in yet. They are exactly what they have now, just buttons (not really buttons, but I'm not sure the correct name to call them) on the back of the chair to give it a little elegance. They were very nice and looks EXACTLY like the chairs they have. I guess they are also a lot easier to clean (George Jr. said so and even gave a demonstration!)
