Giorgio's, Flowerfield, or North Ritz Club?

Giorgio's, Flowerfield, or North Ritz Club?

It's time to start narrowing places down and calling to make appointments! Does anyone have any feedback on these places? Please give it to me straight - the good, the bad, and the ugly! I want to hear it all!

And if you all have any suggestions for places that are anything like these three, I'm all ears!

Thanks girls!

They have a few random openings in the off season, and I believe one in April because I almost had to change my date a few weeks ago, but Giorgio's books up fast because its so amazing!

They're all different and in different locales. You've got to check them out. Giorgio's is like on the side of a golf course and next to condos from what I remember, I think, Flowerfield seems to be in the middle of the woods, North Ritz Club is right off Jericho Tpke.
I think Lands End has the same owners as Flowerfield but south shore and on the water. They are also, one wedding at a time like the others if that is what you are looking for.

6/1 was available for my place months ago, if your hung up on a june wedding. I didn't list my proper date but it is june 2012! so soon.... My place has a smaller capacity than the others though I think! Oh and its east on the north fork, might be too far for most people.

Re: Giorgio's, Flowerfield, or North Ritz Club?

We have not set a date. In order to register for my account I needed to select a date so I did so at random. My FH and I are not bound to a date and want to find the perfect place first. We'll work around a date from there. Looks like I'll need to change my date to something a little more random so no one gets hung up on it

So if anyone has any feedback on these places other than whether or not they're booked I'd really appreciate hearing about them.

Thanks!

As some of the girls have alluded to, the first real question is whether you're set on a specific date or a specific month/day of the week/time of day. If you are looking for summer 2012 (peak season), call around to see what's available.

ETA: Just saw your post above mine. Check out Giorgio's!

A few more questions:
What's your budget like?
What are your thoughts on location? Is eastern Suffolk ok?
Are you looking for gardens, modern, vintage, on the water, etc?
How many people can you guarantee? Some places have a 200+ person minimum for a summer Sat night.
What's the max it needs to hold?

That'll help narrow down the places you should look at. Congrats and welcome!

Thanks! I've already narrowed down what we would like to look at based on price, what we're looking for in a venue, and how many people we are anticipating. On this website I've found only glowing reviews for all of these places but then I go to other websites and I've seen some not-so-great reviews of these places. Unfortunately some of these reviews are new and others are old so I'm not sure how much to put into them. I was hoping some of the ladies here might be able to share their recent honest opinions or recent experiences so I know whether something is worth seeing. Of course, the first meeting anyplace you go is terrific. It's when you get down to business that things can change. I've heard great things about this site from friends and how they got tons of help in their wedding planning and uncovered things they normally wouldn't have known about. That's all I was asking here was if there were things about these places that maybe someone who has already booked or visited could share so I knew what to expect or look for when I visit them.

I'm booked at Giorgio's, so I'm def partial, but I think the place is gorgeous. You get a little bit of the wineries, get the water right there to take pictures at, not to mention the food is amazing!!!! The staff couldn't be more accommodating either. I've called for all my crazy questions and they always help me. Book here! I haven't read a bad review of the place, im so excited for our wedding! Good luck and if you have any other questions about Giorgio's, I'd be happy to help if I can!

We just went to a wedding at North Ritz Club in August & everything was excellent. Food was delicious there. We also went to a wedding at Flowerfield a few years ago and everything was also nice there but if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with North Ritz.

I cannot help on being at Giogio's or Flowerfield (we have a wedding August 2012 at Flowerfields so that won't help).

I have been to the North Ritz. If you are having your ceremony there I would say no. The room felt like we were in the basement closet and it was not pretty at all. The reception room was very pretty but didn't totally wow me. I did like that the tables surround the dance floor and the room was DEF big. I NEVER eat at weddings but I ate my WHOLE plate at this wedding. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD at the North Ritz. The cocktail hour room was big too and everyone was able to find a seat.

I hope this helps a little bit.

Flowerfield! I am also biased since I am having my wedding there, but I've been to weddings at all three. The cocktail room at Flowerfield is absolutely amazing - it's like an indoor botanical garden with flowers, ponds, a bridge, etc. The grounds are beautiful with acres of gardens, ponds, swans, a vineyard - great photo ops! The main room is elegant and spacious, the two bridal suites are huge with their own bar, food is delicious and their banquet managers are amazing to work with. I think it's a truly unique venue and that is why we picked it! Definitely need to see it in person! Please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck with your search

I've never been to Giorgio's or Flowerfield. I had my wedding at NRC. Worth every penny!!!!! No problems!!!

We've been to 3 or 4 weddings at North Ritz. Food is great! The service is great! Love the cocktail hour room there! From what our friends told us - you can work with them re: price, additions, etc. If we hadn't been to soo many weddings there we would have booked with them!! HTH!

My FSIL got married last year at Flowerfields and it was absolutely amazing. The location is beautiful, the food is ridiculously amazing and the staff there is so great. Definitely worth checking out.

North Ritz Club! I booked with them and it has been a pleasant experience so far. Everyone that has been there has nothing but great reviews of the staff and food. The place is gorgeous!! I wanted no worries about food or service and so I knew NRC was the right place for me. They are very attentive to your needs.

I have also heard wonderful things about Giorgio's but they have limited dates left in 2012 and also they are too far out east for us and for our guests.

I was in the same boat as you - no specific date in mind. My #1 piece of advice is to go in there and when they ask what day you are looking for, tell them that you don't have a date in mind, but you are flexible and willing to work with them to get a deal. I was able to get Land's End for a major discount on a Saturday night with that attitude.

I visiting Flowerfields and Giorgios. You can't beat the scenery at Flowerfields - it's gorgeous - and there is plenty of room and seating for cocktail hour. Giorgios is also really beautiful and plenty of cocktail hour seating. There are specific reasons I opted against those two RHs. I'd be happy to share, just send me a FM.

Also - they are both super expensive for Saturday night. I don't know if that is what you are looking for, but i was, and it turned me off.
