Giorgio's, Flowerfield, or North Ritz Club?

Original post by Grasshopper

It's time to start narrowing places down and calling to make appointments! Does anyone have any feedback on these places? Please give it to me straight - the good, the bad, and the ugly! I want to hear it all!

And if you all have any suggestions for places that are anything like these three, I'm all ears!

Thanks girls!

I'm biased, but Giorgio's hands down!

I had my wedding there two months ago, and people are still RAVING about the wedding.

The food, the atmosphere, the service, EVERYTHING was sensational!

George Jr. makes you feel comfortable, like family. He's not your typical catering hall owner - he actually cares and wants to make his brides happy.

I could keep going, but the place speaks for itself. If you have any further questions, please feel to FM me.

I'm a Giorgio's bride so I'm biased, I cannot wait to have my wedding there in 2012...I have not been to a wedding at Flowerfield but have been to a wedding at North Ritz and it was great. I think it all depends on what you want and what you're looking for.

I know Giorgio's has a bunch of day openings for in 2012 left and they're doing a killer deal, it's on their website and I just posted it on another thread.

Good luck! Feel free to FM me if you have any Giorgio's questions!

Flowerfield! I'm booked there, and their customer service is outstanding.

FH and I were actually between those 3 locations, but in the end we chose flowerfield. To us not only had we heard amazing things about the food and the service (FSIL got married at lands end, flowerfields sister location)but we felt like it was just an oasis. It is unlike anything else with the awesome cocktail area and the outdoor vineyards and everything is beautiful. Our parents also fell in love with flowerfield to the point that our moms were practically skipping through it because they loved it so much.

Good luck in your decision!

Giorgios: Great food! Beautiful place. Only concern is it is very far away for some people and at night it is very dark out there.

NRC: Cocktail room is spacious and you would never know you were on Jericho bc when the fountain is on you only hear the running water. Food was great. Service was great. The room is ok; I don't like low ceilings. I didn't like that the bathrooms were downstairs.

Flowerfield: I am booked here but I have no problem saying pros and cons. Cocktail hour room is unique. Every guest will have a seat. There will not be any lines because the stations are spread out. The ballroom isn't spectacular but is a blank canvas and with uplighting it looks great. I hate the ceiling tiles in the ballroom but I can deal with it. Service is great and food is great.

North ritz was the 2nd most expensive hall i saw besides sand castle. They wanted $100 for a friday in march. I visitedlike 15 places in nassau all priced $20-$30 less. Plus the hosp is across the street and makes it into some pics.

I am booked at North Ritz Club so I am saying book with them!!! I have had no problems with them while planing. Food tasting was AMAZING! the room is beautiful and simply elegant (I didn't want any thing over the top). I was also looking for a place that could seat everyone at the cocktail hour. In the room it has a really nice place for the band/DJ. I also love the layout of the room and the dance floor is flat against the carpet. Yes the bathrooms are downstairs, but there is one bathroom on the main floor near the cocktail room.

Honestly I didn't even know about this place until I went to look there and I am so happy I booked there. I knew the moment I walked in that was our place... and since then I've only heard great things about the place, service, food, and experience.

Thank you all so much for your replies! You've given me so much to think about! We started making appointments today and I'm looking so forward to getting started with the planning and taking all of your thoughts into account.
