Girls can be so annoying!!! Vent!!

I'm supposed to go to a bachelorette party (DH's friend's fiance) on Friday night and it is turning into such a drag!!! First of all, it's costing my £50 and it's at the bride's house!!! (£50 translates roughly into about $90) The bridesmaids have asked everyone to bring pictures and little gifts and about a million other things. Plus I hadn't sent in my check and one of them called me. When I didn't call her back right away, she had one of DH's male friends call me! Can you believe it???

All I can say is this better be one heck of a BP!! I really think these BMs are setting themselves (and everyone else) up for disappointment because they're trying to orchestrate every little detail. I think it'd be more fun if they just let us get together and just have a party!!!

I concur. On October 2nd, I'm co-hosting a bridal shower at our apartment--we have a big apartment by NYC standards, though I still have no idea what my role is. The BM hasn't been very good about getting in touch with me about planning details, but following that we are going out for the bachelorette party. The BM organizing immediately let everyone know the cost and what it was going towards, etc.

That is very annoying, particularly having DH's friend call you. One of the BM's should have contacted you directly if their was a problem.

I don't think $90 is too much for a BP. The $$ is probably going towards food, drink, decorations and maybe strippers. I would definitely want to know though!!

Also, I understand that your annoyed that they had someone else call you for the $$, but i guess they need it upfront and don't know you that well.

I'm surprised...I thought that BP's in the UK were supposed to be wild. That's what I was told. Like big drink fests at a pub/nightclub and up until dawn.

I hope it isn't boring!!

Maybe you will start at the house for a pre-party cocktail hour (not that unusual) then head out??

They definately should tell you what it is for & the 2nd phone call was a bit unnecessary, I think....too quick anyway.
