Girls combining accounts with FH!
To all you girls who are combining bank accounts with FH/DH:
We just combined accounts two months ago because we moved in together and it would easier to pay bills. I closed my account and transfered my money into his, added my name on it, etc.
Well I didnt realize I had given my doctor a check a few weeks before. It bounced because when she tried to cash it the account was closed.
Then, I tried to pay off my CC. Mybank account info was already in the system so I just had to type in 'make payment' Well I forgot to change that and ended up getting charged more fees.
Just wanted to remind everyone if you close out your account to combine accounts with fH/Dh to make sure all checks have been cashed and all your other accounts are changed too! I have all these fees now and it scuks!
