HI girls! I'm doing cupcakes for my wedding...I booked the bakery with my package at my RH but my question is was it more expensive to do cupcakes? Also did you discuss pictures and were there a lot of choices of flavors? I plan on meeting with the bakery this week or next. Also I'd love to see some pictures! This picture is exactly the look I want but with sage green icing and minus that heart thing.
I'm not doing cupcakes, but that pic looks awesome!!!! Good luck!

Re: Girls doing cupcakes instead of regular cake
I heard its a little more expensive...I like to bake and I could see why....making cupcakes is a little more time consuming....frosting alone could be a pain to make sure it looks nice :)

Re: Girls doing cupcakes instead of regular cake
my friend is doing cupcakes for her wedding in VT and she said it was cheaper because she got smaller ones. If you should ask the baker if then can scale down the size of the cupcake, especially if they're muffin looking cupcakes. I'm sure if you tell the baker your budget they can try to work with it by scaling it down, maybe having a simple flavor like chocolate or vanilla instead of red velvet.
I hope you get the cupcakes cause its a really cute idea!

I envy you, I wanted this so bad but just didn't want to deal w/the mom's complaints of being so different. I'm not even going to tell them about the silly pacman cake toppers I just ordered. They will surely FLIP out.

Re: Girls doing cupcakes instead of regular cake
We did cupcakes for our wedding. It ended up saving us $1.25 per person. We used Dortoni's in Levittown and they were excellent. Pretty much any combination we wanted with just about anything on top. We also had a small 6 inch cake on the top for us to cut and save.
I looked into doing a cupcake wedding cake until it was vetoed by both sets of parents and my husband. At all the halls I inquired about it, it was more expensive, I think cause its more difficult to make and decorate individual cupcakes as opposed to one large cake. That pic looks yummy, though.
