FH and I decided to incoorporate damask into our decor....I bought our unity candles the other day with the print...now im going to try and find damask invites..table numbers and escort cards...where are you girls looking??? I tried etsy and found some nice things....just wondering what your ideas are. My bridesmaids dresses are hot pink (euro fushia)....so we thought this print would tie in really nice.
Also - I would lovee to do black table clothes but i dont want the room to look goth...do you think it would? or should i stick with white table clothes and black napkins and black ties on the chair with a white chair cover. ??

Check out some of Shauna's (soontobecruz) and Christine's (stinenandy2010) ideas. They've both incorporated damask into their themes.

Re: girls doing damask theme
I found some really cute damask table numbers and place cards on ebay. I ordered them. I wasn;t too thrilled about the table numbers, but the place cards came out great!

Re: girls doing damask theme
we had some damask print in our wedding, including our invites, placecards, and aisle runner.the placecards and invites were DIY, and i got the aisle runner from a friend who purchased it from etsy.
also, i did black table cloths, and it didn't look goth at all--if you do a bright centerpiece, people will notice how much the centerpiece pops.

Yup I did damask. We did black and white damask with red accents. I do think that black tableclothes might look goth in certain rooms, it all depends on the lighting.
As for things we did, we had a damask card box, damask invitations (from A bridal papiere), damask flower girl headband and basket, my dresses almost looked damask b/c it had lace.
I'll actually be posting my review probably within the week, so I'll let you know so you can see pictures.

Re: girls doing damask theme
my BM advised against black tablecloths (i am doing red white and black color scheme). she said it would make the room look dark and can make it look smaller. instead why not do white and add black touches to it. it will give you the splash of color without darkening the room

Re: girls doing damask theme
we used black damask menus...actually they were invites that we got from Michaels but made them into menus! Loved them! Also our place cards were black damask as well!
