What type of white flower are you using?

I want to see in person what a white dendrobium orchid looks like.

Another LIWbride used a gardenia and it got brown she said by the end of the evening.

Any recommendations?

I am thinking of doing this.. right now I have three options..

White Lilies, since they smell amazing.. and are pretty and different..

White Roses or Tulips because these are the flowers I am considering for the BQ's

I am! But I don't know if I can pull off a Gardenia because they are so fragine so...it might have to be an orchid

Go with the orchid they last all day. I was going to do the orchid until I found the brooch I am wearing. I have hair pics at home I can post with orchids.

Are you all using REAL flowers??? My mom is pushing me to use a silk one b/c she said a real one will turn brown (gardenias definitely do -- we tried them).

Are there any reasons not to use silk? (I don't want it to look cheesy)

I got a really pretty silk one from a place in the garment district in the city.

Here's a pic (ignore the hair -- I just threw it in a sloppy bun)

I'm going with silk as well. ESPECIALLY with gardenias- as they brown so quickly.

I feel that with all the hugging and kissing all day- the last thing you need is your flowers getting ruined.....
