Girls getting married in a Church - Need Help with Timetable

Ladies - I need some advice.

I am getting married at a church in NYC which is about 30 minutes (with minimal traffic) away from my long island reception hall. This is for May 2009.

I am having trouble deciding when to start the wedding mass. Our cocktail hour starts at 7pm and we have use of the bridal suite after 5pm. We also plan to find a picture site for in between but I don't want people getting bored either (although I do want them to make the cocktail hour)

I was thinking either:
1. 2pm
2. 2:30pm
3. 3pm

Please help!

Thanks!

My wedding is 7 and we're getting married at 4, but our church is close to RH. I would go with 3pm. That SHOULD give you enough time to travel and take pics. HTH

Yes. We are having a mass. The priest marrying us is my uncle and he would not allow it any other way!

Thanks for your help.

Are you having a full mass or just a ceremony? If its just ceremony it will be about 1 hour, including the receiving line, the ceremony and in the case of being late or starting late. If its a full mass I think it runs depending on the church 1 hour to 1.5 hours.

If you do a full mass and start at 2 lets say you wont be stepping into your limo at the latest beetweem 4 and 430 (after getting finished with pictures at the church)

If a ceremony at 2 you will get into your limo between 3 and 330, then travel time
