What time are you doing? i was thinking doing 5-11. I am scared people will leave early if it goes later. Any thoughts?

Ours is 7 to 12;30, and I really hope people stay! Go to work tired for one day of your life... This is a once in a lifetime thing.

We are doing Sunday, ceremony is 3:30 and reception is from 6-12. Monday people have off, and as long as my family stays I am happy.

My ceremony starts at 5:30, and the reception will end at 11pm.
I don't think that's too late, but then again my Sunday is the night before Labor Day.

me too. honestly, i dont know many people that go to bed before 12 anyway. i've been to plenty of weddings on a sunday night and 90% of the people stayed til the end. but we're russian and love to party. i really dont care if people leave cause i know the most important people in my life will stay til they kick us out.

Mine is 6:30 - 11:30. I also was a little nervous about the time but the way I figure it is everyone attending knows the time in advance and can plan accordingly (i.e. go into work late, take the next day off, etc.).
People are going to leave early no matter what time you have it and the ones who are going to stay till the end are going to stay no matter what time it ends.
If that's the only thing we have to worry about then we're in good shape :) It's your day enjoy it.

We are having our reception from 6-11 6-7 cocktails and reception from 7-11... Depending on how the party goes I may continue until 12 Most family, close friends and out-of-towners already plan to have the Monday off so my thinking is they will be the last group at the end of the night to end the night in a great way!

Our ceremony started at 5:30 and the reception ended at 11:00. Almost everyone was there. Some people left right after dessert but that happens at every wedding regardless of time.
