I'm considering having my ceremony at RH, but i don't know how taking pics in a park would work.
Isn't the ceremony right before the cocktail hour? So if fiance is not supposed to see the bride, when do you take pics? & if you leave sometime between your ceremony & cocktail hour, then what do you do with your guests?
How is everyone else doing it?

Re: Girls Having the Ceremony at RH
We are having the ceremony at the RH, and we are figuring he will go with his family and groomsmen to take pictures in the photo studio at the hall, then when they are done I will go with my family and bridal party, then do the pictures together during the cocktail hour.
This could change, but we talked it over and would rather wait till the ceremony to see each other. Hopefully we can get 2 photographers, so it wont be that difficult

beautiful. I even got misty eyed.
Your hair looks fab!
Hahaha....thanks!
I enjoyed taking the pics before - much more relaxing to me to have seen each other ahead and a relief to have the portraits done. They were fun, but we did not want to miss the entire cocktail hour and be rushed taking pics.
Good luck whatever you decide!
we will be doing the same as you did. pictures before hand. we dont want to be rushed or pulled out for pictures....

Re: Girls Having the Ceremony at RH
we did pics before...so glad we did, because we were able to enjoy taking them without rushing & we didn't miss a minute of our own wedding ....we made sure we had a private moment when we first saw each other on the beach..only the photographer & video guy were there to capture it and it was perfect.....i always dreamed of that 'moment' seeing each other the first time walking down the aisle...and honestly didn't miss it...HTH!

Re: Girls Having the Ceremony at RH
my ceremony was at my RH. We took pics for about an hour before the ceremony and then we took some more during part of the cocktail hour. I'm happy I did it that way so we could enjoy part of our cocktail hour. I didn't mind that DH and I saw each other before the ceremony. I think that seeing him beforehand actually helped to calm me down.

Re: Girls Having the Ceremony at RH
Most people take the pics during the cocktail hour and miss it. I am getting married at the RH and we decided to take pics before the cocktail hours bec we don't want to miss anything.

We had the ceremony at the RH and had most pictures taken before. We did the 'first look' shot as mentioned above. Extended family shots were taken during the cocktail hour. Much more relaxing than cramming everything during the cocktail hour.

I'm seeing FH before the ceremony and hoping that we can get most pics out of the way so as not to miss much of the CH...

I'm taking pics before as well. It saves times, allows you to enjoy some of your CH, greet guests and have the relief of seeing each other before. then hopefully you won't be as nervous! I hope to get great 'reveal' moment too!

Re: Girls Having the Ceremony at RH
FH and I are going to take pictures before the ceremony so we can go to cocktail hour cause I love the food. Some couples take the pictures during cocktail hours, I would talk to your photographer and find out how long it takes to take formal/posed pictures with your family and do they recommend taking it before or after the ceremony.
