what are you giving away as a favor? i am going to be complete honest with you girls ... I HATE FAVORS haha ... i go to weddings, get the favor, open it up and laugh because usually its something that im never going to use! i dont want to spend a lot of money and have people open them and laugh (like i do) ... i wanted to do something cute and cheap (like put m&m's in our colors in little jars (o yea because our names are michelle and michael m and m) but my parents say i need to give something nice! what does that mean? help!

I hate the favors too. ITs always such a waste of money since no one ever uses them and 1/2 the time they throw them out. I think we are going to make a donation instead....we havent desided where yet

I think EVERYONE hates favors! LOL. I was originally going to do a donation, but decided to do photo favors...as the guests walk into the RH they have their pic taken...and get it by the end of the night in a pretty frame. I know I wouldn't mind getting that if I went to a wedding... lol

We are doing wine bottle stoppers because we feel they are useful and also go with our wine theme!

We are doing a Photobooth. They can take unlimited pics... it doubles as a photo guestbook. A guy will be there to help them with everything. On the back of the print out is a website and a password and everyone can go online to see their pics. Also, i get a CD rom. We used Partybooths.com FM if you want more details. HTH

We will likely have full size wine bottles of a pretty good wine. We will buy 15 cases and keep some for ourselves (we both like wine so it is useful for us) because we can get a better deal that way. The bottles we are getting retail for about $15 but with such a big quantity we can probably get them for aroung 10-11. It is ricey but it will be per couple and we will not wrap to save some $$$.
I feel like this a a favor people will use and we are not attaching personal labels.

I did wine bottles for my eparty and I'm going to do big caramel apples and have a candy buffet at the wedding. Wine can be surprisingly affordable if you look into it. I bought bottles of Chardonnay and Merlot from Trader Joe's in the city and it was a big hit!

ITA! I hate favors! I always throw them away! I decided to go with something consumable, either half bottles of champagne or gourmet candied apples... A little more costly than the typical favors but at least I know they will be drank/eaten

You can do the jar of m&ms (so cute) along with a donation to a charirty, just make pretty lables or gift tags for the jars saying that. I am doing candy with a donation.

We originally were going to do candles, but they're pretty cheesy in person when I saw them, so now we're probably going to do a donation instead, maybe with a lindt truffle attached to the card. I'd like to do the ASPCA, I think FH would rather help humans, but I'm all about the kitties, so we'll probably still do my idea. I think the trend now is towards donations or edible/drinkable, they're not as wasteful.

We were originally doing to do a cupcake in a jar. But, I'm worried about having to have them shipped last minute. I don't think I need that stress.
I hate favors as well...especially the ones you can do nothing with...I was going to go with the donation but i found maple syrup in the shape of leaves and it fits for our halloween wedding so I am going with that. I know my guests will actually use them...LOL
