Girls I Need Your Advice

well i had a whole big post i was going to do and then LIW decided to die on me

anyway to make a long story short...i'm doubting my choice for my dress big time...i already have the dress i got it at david's bridal...but now every time i look at it i just feel blah and eh...i originally wanted a dress by the designer Lazaro but i convinced myself that it wasn't worth the price but now i wonder if maybe is it..i mean its my wedding day...this is (hopefully) going to be my first and only marriage..shouldn't i treat myself to the designer i want? i dunno but i'm feeling 'the guilt'..i paid for the dress myself..argh! girls please help me!!

oh and here are pictures of my dress i have now from david's bridal

The dress is absolutely beautiful! I am a big fan of the lace over-lay. My dress has one too (it's a Maggie).

You really have to be happy with your dress. Like I said, I think it's just gorgeous but if you're not happy with it, it doesn't matter. What is the return policy at David's? Did you have any alterations done yet?

i think you should have what makes you happy.. maybe instead of getting a lazaro you could get someone to make it cheeper.. If you want the info on the girl i am using just send me FM.

Definalty see if you could return the dress if it doens't WOW you anymore and if not if they could give you credit towards something.. like a veil or gloves/bag/ if someone you know wants to get soemthing from there you could 'trade' it in for $$...

yeah i can't return the dress..they have a no return policy so i'd probably just sell the dress on ebay...but i haven't done anything to the dress yet..i think my dress is gorgeous also i just don't feel like its 'THE ONE' i feel like i settled for something cheaper

UGH, for the record, I think it is beautiful....

I haven't bought anything yet but I fear your situation, I want to stay under 1,000 TOTAL (inc. alterations) but I haven't found the dress that I am IN LOVE WITH! Many Maggies that I like a lot but I am fearful of trying on more expensive ones because if I DO fall in love I won't want to spend the money, but I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY, so what do I do...?? But I want to LOVE MY DRESS!! UGHHHHHHHHHH....

If you really want to go for the more $$$ dress, try to sell it first on EBAY or here...then maybe you won't feel so bad. Good luck.

i'm going to see if i can make an appointment at bridal reflections and see the dress..and if its a little too much money than i would probably go the dressmaker route...but yeah i'm going to send you an FM right now!

thanks...the dress is gorgeous and it would probably sell fast on ebay but i'll probably hold onto it until i try on the lazaro dresses..then i'll see from there

you know you could probably also go the dress maker route...there are quite a few LIW brides that have done it and their dresses were gorgeous

Your dress is beautiful. If you have your mind on the other dress, I think you should do what makes you happiest. It is your wedding day and you should have the dress you really want. Do you have pics of the dress you love?

actually sometimes it can be cheaper than buying the actual dress you're recreating...it depends on the dressmaker..you should ask around on the BHB board!

and here are pictures of the other dresses i liked

Well - really there is no choice here, you must go try it on!!! What is the big deal in the grand scheme of things if you couldn't make the money back on the first dress, I am sure you could sell it a bit cheaper eventually! Go for it!
