I know that this topic has been exhausted til no end but I wanted to create a poll.

I think it depends on the type of giveaway and the people at the reception. Some crowds go nuts with that stuff. For example, my DJ and video guy are bring a drum set and a karaoke machine. Some people would think that's tacky. But some of the people we hang with are really into that so they're psyched about it and so are me and FH. Because most of FHs friends are firemen, I may buy fire department related stuff as giveaways. I'm not into shakers, sunglasses, hats, etc.

i didnt vote bc i cant say TACKY! sounds terrible!

but i personally wouldnt do them at a wedding. its definatly fun! But if Im spending all that $ on a classy place I wouldnt put people in clown sunglasses

JMHO!!! But definatly is FUN if thats your thing!

It depends on the giveaways and how much it is utilized. I once went to a wedding with TONS of giveaways--glow sticks, leis, sombreros, sunglasses, etc....It felt more like a Sweet 16 than a wedding and was not good at all.

I personally am not a fan, but I've seen it done and it's been fine.

I agree....all of our friends are wild and crazy and with a few drinks in them...FORGET IT

Same with our familys.....
With that said, we are having giveaways. Its just White hates with black around the base, Chamgange shape shaker things and black sunglasses.
No blowup things or anything like that though

I agree... It all depends on the crowd your expecting. As per me I'm having them..but we're jokesters we're not serious people we like to bug out and have fun!!!
