My FMIL told me that when a couple gets engaged they are supposed to send out annoucements and then people send gifts. Is this true??
I was wondering what is proper, i wanted to get E-pics done soon, but not sure how to incorporate them. I definately want to do save the dates but i feel like its too soon to send those out for a june 08 wedding. Thanks GIRLS!

my mom said... do not said anything to those who are NOT going to be invited to the wedding or e-party.. cuz its not polite! JMO

I thought you sent out the announcement when you have the eparty? No? I have no clue.
But that's what I'm going to do. We'll announce it/have the e-party in May or June of 2007.

my fmil in law ordered announcements, and also wants to throw an engagement party. this whole e-party thing is still a mystery to me as i've never been to one.

i didnt have an e party only a dinner with about 40 people - i also didnt send out announcements. . .
HOWEVER, i was SO shocked to see that EVERYONE sent me gifts - FH's entire family AND all of his parents' friends. . . and some of my family too - i was so surprised it was so nice of them and completely unexpected!
