Girls on Yaz...any strange side effects?

08er crashing.

I was on Yaz and loved it... then all of a sudden I was getting the hives all day, everyday, so my doctor switched me over to Yazmin. within 2 days of being on the pill I had stroke symptoms and they sent me to the hospital.

What kind of syptoms are you having?

anxiety symptoms, my chest is killing me, barely any period just blood clots....ive been really really dizzy lately (but i may have an ear infection)

I came off this pill because it gave me very bad heart palpitations and anxiety.

Be careful and check with your doctor right away....

My period gets really wacky on Yaz. Sometimes it bugs out. I dont get grossed out easily so if you wanna share you can FM me and Ill let you know if the same has happened to me. Also someone told me this discoloration on my cheeks (kinda like freckles) is from the Yaz.

I used to take Yasmin28 but then i guess they lost their patent so it then became Yaz. I thought it was the same thing but it was NOT When i was on Yasmin28 i LOOOOOVED it, no problems at all then along came YAZ. I would have my period for more than 7 days one month, it wouldn't come for two months and then the third month i would bleed so heavy that I literally had to wear a tampon AND pad just to make it through a 35 minute train ride to work then immediately go change right after i clocked in. I have had to leave work early several times because either i was in so much pain or i bled through all over my pants. And the pain was ridiculous. I stayed on it for about 7 or 8 months because i just figured that my body had to get used to it but i got sick and tired of spending $$$ on pregnancy tests because i wasn't getting my period. Another thing, it used to cause me some serious migraines. The types that would literally have me in tears and vomiting and my migraines lasted for TWO days!!! So i quickly had to dump that trash. Now i'm on Loestrin24 and it seems to be working great with no problems. It lightened and shortened my periods and i don't get that crampy or bloated feeling anymore. But it hasn't been that long so we'll see if it continues that way.

I started Yaz two months ago. I was on a version of Alese called Lutera for years and I loved it. My last visit to ght GYN, my doc told me about Yaz and how it reduces the duration of your period. I liked the idea of it so I gave it a try.

The first month, I was miserable. I was always nauseus and had a pounding headache. I didn't know when my period would come because the withdrawl time is only 4 days.

Then I got my period and it was really short, like 3 days. I loved it!!!!

I just finished month 2 and the nausea and headaches have been much better. I'm gonna give it another month and decide if I'm gonna stay on it or go back to my previous BCP. I think my body does need to adjust to it and its slowly feels like it is....

I had to get off it bc of the side effects. I know it works different for everyone, but i had a lot of mood swings, long pds, spotting btwn pds. and bad acne.

Honestly.. I've been on Trinessa for over 3 years and its great. FM me should you have any questions..

I have been on Yaz for a year and I thought it was great but after reading all of this I realize that in the past 6 months or so I have had really bad anxiety and migraines but never thought that it could be related to the yaz... maybe it is? Maybe I could have avoided this for the past 6 months by switching bcs? I have no idea!!

i was on yaz for 2 months before anything happened to me. i had horrible migraines, dizziness, loss of appetite, always felt sick.
The yaz apparently was linked to pseudotumor cerebri that i was diagnosed with.
so Becareful.
