An unidentified body was found Wednesday morning in western Nassau, prompting police to cordon off a wide area near the north service road of the Long Island Expressway near Shelter Rock Road, authorities say. 'The body is not going to be easily identified,' said Det. Lt. Kevin Smith, a Nassau police spokesman.Homicide detectives are on the scene, he said. The body was discovered about 7:58 a.m., he said.Smith said police have not connected the body with any particular case -- including that of missing Bethpage special-education teacher Leah Walsh.
'There's no link,' he said. 'It's too soon to say.'

Newsday.com is now saying that it is white females body that was found at the side of the road but they can not confirm it is Leah Walsh.

Oh jeez. I just read that last article. Nothing seems to add up. It just makes me so sad.
I hope we get some news soon. I really hope & pray that she's safe. I don't keep up with the news, so somebody please let us know if you hear anything new.

I hope she's alive and well. I have a weird feeling though... Like someone said, who goes around kidnapping women on LI in the morning, she would have been kicking and screaming and someone would have seen her. She obviously went willingly with someone - I think her husband may be to blame. I hope I am wrong, but I watch a lot of Forensic Files and it's ALWAYS the spouse.
Why can't people just get divorced? I mean, really. Why do they kill? They are always caught and it's so awful, how do you kill someone you once loved.
Sometimes I'm so nagging and annoying, I feel like FH could kill me, but he doesn't even yell! Nothing. He just ignores my requests. Ha ha.

Yes her body was found. Yes the Husband is a suspect.. There is a lot the media doesn't know or that they are not letting out. And someone mentioned the women found alive in the woods in CI -- that was something else.

It has to be this poor girl. How many missing LI women are there. This is so sad. I wonder what news she wanted to tell her male friend in LA. Based on that Daily News story, she said she had big news, what was it! She never got to tell him

how do you know her body was found? Did they identify the body as hers? I havent seen any confirmations yet?

2010 crasher here. I can't believe this. I was just watching news 12 and they spoke of a mother of 2 who is on her death bed bc her husband is gay and he poisioned her with syonyed (cant spell) and then they found another body besides the girl of the LIE and someone was beaten to death with a bat in centereach.
ANd JEnnifer Hudsons family Ugh also theyre was a murder by my house in commack that they believe to be a mob hit that was just last week. What has this world come to?

that's really disturbing to hear!!! Horrible things are always happening, I guess. It's just especially scary when it's happening so close to where you expect it to be 'safe'

that man deserves to really ROT in hell. any man like him, who actually have the guts and heart to kill their own wife! have they ever heard of divorce?? i guess not! poor leah, whos life was taken away because of her pshyco husband.. this really disgusts me! i wonder if she was waiting for this to happen?? because they were saying they have been having martial problems.. but honestly, i guess if she had any thoughts of him doing this to her i doubt she would still be living in the same house with him or even get in the car with him that morning he supposebly came to save her from a flat tire.. unbelievable!! =[[
