Girls: Please be careful when you drive!

I was suddenly awoken at 5am by a LOUD crash... A young man was driving home from working all night (and he works two jobs) and crashed into AND totalled TWO of my neighbors parked cars!
Everyone involved looks pretty shocked and all...

So girls, be careful! I know some of you are working hard for the wedding and long hours, but make sure you don't fall asleep at the wheel!

(thank goodness no one was hurt)
One of the two cars was a brand new week-old car for one of the girl's college graduation!

an hour later, the young guy was taken to the hospital on a stretcher and a head cast, so maybe he had a concussion or something...

but anyways, drive safely!

ohhh WOW that is terrible....

what a shame-- i'm so glad no one was hurt. it's so hard b/c people try so hard to push themselves to the limit and then that happens.

my brother has been a cop for years and one of his first jobs was in virginia and he was ordered mandatory over time to work like a ridiculous amount of hours straight and towards the end of his tours he was driving in the cruiser and he crashed the car b/c he fell asleep-- just pure exhaustion and totaled the police cruiser (this was maybe 4-5 years ago now) but thank god he was OK... the good outcome was that police dept started to REALLY re-think the 'mandatory over-time hours' that they made the officers work-- so they did away with those ridiculous hours after that!! which was good-- no one should be expected to work almost 30 hours straight.

I hate to be Debby Downer but last week 4 kids were killed 2 houses away from me. They were speeding and hit a tree. Sooo sad
