Oh my goodnesss...such anxiety...i think lots of kids have the realization of death issue...I know I did! (and sometimes I still do!) However, sometimes there is something going on that causes it...is someone in his family sick? Did a pet, friend, relative recently pass? did someone else's relative in your class pass? Sometimes this will trigger these terrible thoughts...what a poor dear!

Trust your gut. I don't know what the chain of command or protocol is at your school, but I'd press the counselor to do something. If need be, could you call the boy's parents?

Call the parents. I really freaking hate guidance counselors! They do absolutely nothing, I swear! Jenny, in your gut you know this is wrong. You dont have to 'think' about it. Tell someone else, and make sure you tell your principal about the 'thinker'!

OMG thats HORRIBLE. I know my niece said things like this after my dad died because she lost her 'poppop' and they were like best friends...

I would certainly either contact the parents or make the couselor do something. My niece is in therapy now and its helped TREMENDOUSLY.

I am surprised that your counselor said that she'll have to think about it. That should have brought up a big red flag. I would meet with the parents and have your school counselor sit in on the conversation. Explain your concerns. Maybe you can get some information out of them as to why he/she might be feeling this way.

It sounds like someone close to him or someone he knows knows may have died. Either that or he is watching something he probably shouldnt on TV which is giving him those ideas.

you know what, his bunny did die two weeks ago...
Came home to play with it and it didnt move.

Maybe thats what it is??

Lmao- It's aprivate/catholic school

I have JLO and mark anthonys neices here too...

I think its the 'type' of parents that are in the school....

THATKID came in Monday telling me and my partner that he's taking opera lessons in the village, and that he thinks that all the 'gays are beautiful, my instructor has a husband and hes a man and its beautiful'

Why does he know what gay is at the age of 9? Not that anythings wrong but I justg feel like he is young...
